Liam, the top dog of Mississippi View Farm. Visitors always ask what type of dog he is, and we always say "a black dog." Liam came from the shelter and he very quickly became the canine farm manager. He helps with chores, lessons, and he's chaperon on all trail rides. Here he rests after a busy day.

You may not see Liza Jane, because she's very shy. Liza Jane came to MVF courtesy of the Mastiff Rescue people. If she feels safe with you she'll kiss you and sit in your lap. Oh, and she weighs about 150 pounds.

MVF now has two
Bailey Bassets in residence. The original Bailey, the barking
Basset of Benton County, is on the right. Bailey II, aka "seal
dog" because of the quality of his bark, belongs to Bobbie.
Bobbie is Kate's working student.

In addition to Bailey II, Bobbie brought Kyra with her to the farm. Kyra is a coonhound. She helps Liam with the chores, and then she trees critters in the woods. If she really likes you she climbs on your head; why, I don't know. Here she's performing another daily ritual, boffing the basset. Basset boffing occurs every day at 4:00 pm at MVF.

This is Lint Kitty, found one cold morning in the laundry basket. When he's bored he taunts the dogs. Here's where he wound up one day when it went too far.
